PENGARUH DISIPLIN KERJA DAN KOMUNIKASI TERHADAP KINERJA PERSONEL DI SKADRON UDARA 16
Abstract
The high demands for professionalism in the military environment, including within Air Squadron 16, pose the challenge of maintaining consistent personnel performance amid complex operational dynamics and high risk. The main problem identified is fluctuating performance, suspected to be caused by constraints in information distribution and a lack of discipline in following technical procedures. This study aims to analyse the influence of organisational communication and work discipline on personnel performance, both partially and simultaneously. The research method used is quantitative with an associative approach. Data were collected by distributing questionnaires to 60 personnel from Air Squadron 16, selected via simple random sampling. Data analysis was conducted using classical assumption tests and multiple linear regression analysis to test the proposed hypotheses. The results show that communication partially has a positive and significant influence on personnel performance, indicating that the clarity of technical information is crucial for task success. Similarly, work discipline has been shown to have a significant influence on performance, confirming that compliance with SOPs is the foundation of work effectiveness. Simultaneously, these two variables account for 63.9% of the variance in personnel performance. Based on these findings, it is recommended that the leadership of Air Squadron 16 enhance two-way communication by optimising routine briefings and strengthening the reward-and-punishment system to maintain consistent personnel discipline and achieve maximum operational readiness.
Tingginya tuntutan profesionalisme di lingkungan militer termasuk Skadron Udara 16 yang menghadapi tantangan untuk tetap menjaga konsistensi kinerja personel di tengah dinamika operasional yang kompleks dan risiko tinggi. Masalah utama yang diidentifikasi adalah adanya fluktuasi kinerja yang diduga disebabkan oleh kendala dalam distribusi informasi serta tingkat kedisiplinan terhadap prosedur teknis. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh komunikasi organisasi dan disiplin kerja terhadap kinerja personel, baik secara parsial maupun simultan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan pendekatan asosiatif. Data dikumpulkan melalui penyebaran kuesioner kepada 60 personel Skadron Udara 16 yang dipilih menggunakan teknik simple random sampling. Analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan uji asumsi klasik dan analisis regresi linear berganda untuk menguji hipotesis yang diajukan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa secara parsial, komunikasi memiliki pengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja personel, yang mengindikasikan bahwa kejelasan informasi teknis sangat menentukan keberhasilan tugas. Demikian pula dengan disiplin kerja yang terbukti berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kinerja, menegaskan bahwa kepatuhan pada SOP adalah fondasi utama dalam efektivitas kerja. Secara simultan, kedua variabel tersebut memberikan kontribusi sebesar 63,9% terhadap variansi kinerja personel. Berdasarkan temuan tersebut, disarankan kepada pimpinan Skadron Udara 16 untuk meningkatkan efektivitas komunikasi dua arah melalui optimalisasi briefing rutin serta memperkuat sistem pemberian penghargaan dan sanksi (reward and punishment) guna mempertahankan konsistensi disiplin personel demi tercapainya kesiapan operasional yang maksimal
