PENDAMPINGAN PERHITUNGAN CAPACITY PLANNING UNTUK APLIKASI UJIAN ONLINE DI SMPN 206 JAKARTA BARAT
Abstract
The use of online exam applications in schools requires a well-prepared information technology infrastructure to ensure optimal learning evaluation. SMPN 206 West Jakarta has implemented an online exam application, but it still faces potential system performance constraints due to insufficient capacity planning. This Community Service activity aims to calculate the capacity planning of the online exam application to ensure the system can serve user needs simultaneously and stably. The methods used include user needs analysis, technical data collection, server and network capacity calculations, and mentoring the school. The results indicate that the capacity planning calculations provide a quantitative overview of the system’s minimum and ideal capacity requirements, including server resources, network bandwidth, and application performance. Implementing these calculations is expected to improve the reliability of the online exam application, minimize technical disruptions during exams, and support the implementation of effective and sustainable learning evaluation at SMPN 206 West Jakarta.
Pemanfaatan aplikasi ujian online di lingkungan sekolah menuntut kesiapan infrastruktur teknologi informasi agar proses evaluasi pembelajaran dapat berjalan secara optimal. SMPN 206 Jakarta Barat telah menerapkan aplikasi ujian online, namun dalam pelaksanaannya masih berpotensi menghadapi kendala kinerja sistem akibat belum adanya perencanaan kapasitas yang terukur. Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk menghitung capacity planning aplikasi ujian online guna memastikan sistem mampu melayani kebutuhan pengguna secara serentak dan stabil. Metode yang digunakan meliputi analisis kebutuhan pengguna, pengumpulan data teknis, perhitungan kapasitas server dan jaringan, serta pendampingan kepada pihak sekolah. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa perhitungan capacity planning memberikan gambaran kuantitatif mengenai kebutuhan kapasitas minimum dan ideal sistem, meliputi sumber daya server, bandwidth jaringan, dan kinerja aplikasi. Penerapan hasil perhitungan ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan keandalan aplikasi ujian online, meminimalkan gangguan teknis saat ujian berlangsung, serta mendukung pelaksanaan evaluasi pembelajaran yang efektif dan berkelanjutan di SMPN 206 Jakarta Barat.
